I could spell it out for you
But my words, they hold no meaning
Falling on deaf ears,
Resting on mute tongues,
Fading in deafening silence
And would they ever be enough?
I would spell it out for you
But my words, they hold no sway
Over a focused mind
And poignant emotions
Hastily felt, easily discarded
And probably never enough.
I should spell it out for you
But my words, they hold no power
To repair the broken,
Heal the loss,
Protect the hardened weakness
Definitely never enough.
I HAVE spelled it out for you
But you couldn’t hear me
You wouldn’t listen
You should’ve tried
Because when words are all that remains
We can only ever long for actions.
Lost words

Truly wonderful

It saddens me that that, indeed, is true 😶

There Are Words
There Are Actions
There Are Feelings
Some Do One
Or Two Or Three
Occasionally
It’s
Only
Silence
Yet Still A Gift
Of Breath With
No Hope At All Left
